Fresh Food Manager- North County Laois. We are currently seeking a Fresh Food Manager for a popular hot and cold deli in the North Laois Area. We are looking for a passionate foodie to join the fresh food department to be innovative and to bring a sense of energy to their fresh food department. The Fresh Food Manager will be in charge of people management within the Deli, fresh food within the store and innovation and development of the fresh food area within store. Salary is competitive and in line with experience. Main Duties: " Day to day management of the fresh food section, ensuring highest of standards are maintained. " Training-in of staff members ensuring staff are fully HACCP and food safety trained and customer service focused. " Completion of margins, correcting any issues and reviewing in a proactive manner. " Bringing forth new ideas to increase sales in the Fresh Food department. " Managing of staff rostering and people management in liaison with the HR Manager and Store Manager. " Providing a quality level of customer service ensuring that the customer is satisfied with the product and to provide the customer with further information regarding storage, recipe ideas etc. " Ensuring a clean and tidy working environment. " Ordering in of stock, ensuring stock and waste control. The Ideal Candidate: " Huge fresh food knowledge and a real passion for the product. " Experience in people management. " Experience in successfully achieving sales targets and KPI's which have been set out by the Management. " Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a role with strong exposure to fresh food. " The candidate must be fully HACCP and food safety trained, and has experience in meeting the HACCP and food safety requirements, and as such has a proven track record in passing any required audits. " A customer focused manager who can build a quality and loyal customer base. " Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong command of the English language. " Can work 5 over 7 Days. " Can commit to early starts of 7/ 8 am. " Ideally this would suit a person that has a mix of good cooking, baking and financial skills as in costings, orders, portion control, wastage control and HACCP.
