12 months fixed term part time contract (9.5 hours per week. Overall Purpose of Job. To assist the Community Employment Supervisor in the provision of direct services and/or developmental programmes to members. The empowerment of members as full participants within the community is central to the role. Liaison. For the successful implementation of this role there are a number of key relationships, which should be fostered and developed. Primarily these will be with your supervisor, your team members, staff colleagues and branch personnel. Main Duties and Responsibilities. Provide assistance to the Community Employment Supervisor by: Supporting, monitoring and evaluating the performance of workers on the Community Employment Project. Assisting with the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) for all participants. Participating in the recruitment and selection of workers. Ensuring that all requirements for the project are fully complied with the DSP guidelines. Provide effective cover in the absence of the Supervisor. Ensure a close and harmonious relationship between the work of the project and services already in operation. Co-operate with other IWA work priorities in the area. This may involve participation in fundraising activities. You will be required to carry out any other work/duties relevant to the position of the Assistant Supervisor as may be deemed necessary for the successful operation of the Association in your area scheme. Please note this position will be Garda Vetted. PERSON SPECIFICATION. Training, Experience and Qualifications. Relevant Major Award at 3rd Level (NFQ Level 6 or higher. 1 year leadership/supervisory experience. Advanced ECDL and /or 2-3 years’ experience working in a busy office environment. Knowledge and Skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, with a high level of keyboard and computerised office skills. Experience of payroll, creating and maintaining databases and spread sheets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Behaviours. Flexible approach to work. High level of confidentiality. The ability to work as part of a team and work on own initiative An ability to build strong relationships at all levels and show confidence among the team. Strong customer service focus. Be of good character. Remuneration & Benefits. Salary on offer is €429.5 per week (salary will be pro-rated. Excellent working conditions.
